Quick answers to commonly-asked skip bin hire questions
Will the skip fit in my driveway?
We list the dimensions of each of our skips here – our roll-on roll-off bins normally take up more space than our skips.
Will I need council approval to leave a skip in the street or on a footpath?
This varies from council to council, so we advise that you check first. There are legal responsibilities to be considered, too, such as skip insurance, illuminations, and warning barriers.
What can I put in your skips and bins?
If you can pick it up, you can put it in – but there are exceptions. We can’t accept chemicals, poisons, liquids, paint, explosive materials, tyres, e-waste or uncontained fine-dust substances. If you’re not sure, please get in touch.
How long can I keep the bin?
Up to 8 days; negotiable rates are available for longer periods.
Does it matter where I live?
SA Skips offers skip bins hire to Adelaide’s metropolitan suburbs and wider SA areas.
Can I dispose of mattresses with SA Skips?
Yes! Mattresses can be placed on top of your skip or bin for a small extra charge.
